(noun) : any of a number of small administrative details (usually paperwork) that an office worker, teacher, etc., must do, which often seem trivial even though necessary. Such details could be very important but not central to doing the job; e.g., W-2 and other employment forms. [a combination of "administrative" and "trivia"]
When I had to do many of the small administrative details in an office job I had, I occasionally told people that my job entailed doing much of the "administrivia."
